  1. Jane Austen (duh) — she breathes life into any character she touches/creates.
  2. Harry Potter Series — Hogwarts is just so damn awesome!  I love J.K. Rowling
  3. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell — I read this every freak’n year almost without fail, for being written in 1936 it is still as fresh as ever.
  4. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak — a novel about books, name me one book lover who wouldn’t love that (besides, I have some weird fasanation with the Holocaust)
  5. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank — This also leads back to the Holocaust thing, but I also find this book so insperational.
  6. Steig Larsson author of the Mellinem Trilogy reintroduced me to the mystery/thriller genre and was sadden by his death knowing there would never be another Lisbeth Salander novel
  7.  Roald Dahl — One of my favorite authors growing up, enhancing my love of reading.
  8. Laura Ingalls Wilder, The Little House series — I think these were the books that got me reading on my own and was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
  9. David Sedaris, who’s novels got my parents through a tough time of my childhood.
  10. J.R.R. Tolkien — I am so thankful for his creative mind and creation of Middle Earth.
