Reviews Done Quick

I could fill this review with my thoughts on Reese Witherspoon and the effective “bend and snap” but let’s face it; we all know Reese Witherspoon is amazing and the bend and snap is epic.

Legally Blonde is clever and while always a romantic comedy, at the heart of the film is Elle’s transformation from ditzy Delta Nu dependent on her relationship status to a put-together lawyer who is probably her best self without a man. The film is mostly light-hearted with dramatic flair. However, I’ve always felt that the courtroom scenes were rushed. While Elle Woods is no Atticus Finch I wish they spent a bit more time on the trial. There was so much leading up to Elle’s victory and I felt it was just a blip on the radar.

Legally Blonde is the girl power movie of the 2000s. Elle had style and, showed that she was more than just a pretty face. Legally Blonde is a wonderfully uplifting romantic comedy that I will never object to.
