I admit, I’m a month behind getting The Perpetual Page-Turner’s End of Year Survey post up. Despite my love of lists I kept putting it off with good intentions to come back and complete it later. Well, later is better then never so here I go.

There are so many, but I started Great Expectations by Charles Dickens last year and would like to finish it.
2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2013?
The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin & Speaking From Among the Bones by Alan Bradley (both have been released)
3. What You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging In 2013?
- Read what I want when I want — In 2012 I decided to only read classics and as is typical when one boxes themselves in the plan can go sour.
- Do not go crazy with reading challenges — I don’t think I completed a single one last year, and I find them to be stressing to finish on time. That is not the point of blogging!
- This leads into my third resolution, remember that blogging is a hobby and should be fun.
- Comment on at least 5 blogs a day
- Continue with the blogging schedule I started at the end of 2012

Ohhh, Great Expectations was probably my favorite book of last year. It was fabulous. I look forward to reading your thoughts when you get back to it.
Ah, Stephen King. I've been saying I'll read one of his books next month, every month, and then I'll never do. Any particular title you'd recommend for a first encounter with King? 🙂

I haven't read a lot of Stephen King but I think 11/22/63 or The Shinning would be a good intro. Critics have written that if you have not read a King book since The Shinning, 11/22/63 is the one to read. I've enjoyed both, so I think that would be a good starting point.
I'm lookimg forward to finishing Great Expectations. (especially with Celebrating Dickens coming up) I have shamlessly already watched a mini-series of it on PBS but have read that the book has a different ending, so I think I will still be surprised
Loved this! I really should rediscover Nancy Drew. I have such fond (and enduring) reading memories of this series. It was one of my favourites as a young girl.
I also started Great Expectations last year and failed to finish it. I don't know what it is about this novel, but it seems to be my Dickensian Achilles' Heel. I *will* conquer it this year!
I can still remember the first time I read Nancy Drew, she just has a certain quality about her.
I watched an adaptation of Great Expectations a few weeks ago and liked it, but my mom told me the novel has a different ending so I'm going in with trepidation.
