Off The Blog

Yesterday, as a birthday gift, my brother and I took a vegetarian cooking class.  At the end of 2015 I decided to become a pescatarian (no meat except fish/seafood) and have expressed a desire to learn to cook.  My brother and his wife, who love to cook wanted to encourage that gifting a “Farmhouse to Table” class.  We learned how to make cauliflower steaks with vegetables, a mushroom and leek frittata , snap peas with an aioli sauce and homemade strawberry ice cream.  With the exclusion of the cauliflower it was all very good and as a newbie cook was informative.

  1. The cooking class sounds like a lot of fun! The food sounds delicious as well. I love the look of your new books and all the titles are new to me. Have a great week!

    • The cooking class was a lot of fun and the food was very good — except for the cauliflower, I just don’t think there is a whole lot you can do with it. Although, the vegetables it came with made up for it.

    • Thanks, I’ve started On a Desert Shore and is very interesting so far. I’m looking forward to beginning the other two as well.

How fun! I could never make a commitment to not eat meat, but I applaud those who do!
