1. What are you reading right now?
Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
2. How many books have you read so far?
Still reading my first
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
All of them
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
No
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Not really, it was one of the first nice days of the season, so I did leave the house and go for a walk; but otherwise it has been interruption free.
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Um, that I could read this long without falling asleep.
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
Not yet, this is my first year participating so ask me again in a few hours.
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
I think take a few more breaks.  Move those limbs around!
9. Are you getting tired yet?
Not yet, but I’m making a cup of tea right now.
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
Be well prepared with book lists/snacks and just have fun.

  1. softdrink– Love the poem, I hope I'm able to stay up late too!

Book Mole–I suggest doing this next year without question, it's been a lot of fun.

Nise–Thanks, I love GWTW it's one of my favorites.

I know Gone with the Wind will be on my regular reading list next year. Is it anything like the movie because I really liked that. Good job on the mini-challenges! I decided I was just going to read without interruptions. zzzzzzzzz

  3. Kim–The movie is pretty true to the book. They had to leave a few parts out because of length/time but still did a fantastic job of it. I thought I would just read and read without doing any mini-challenges, but I guess my will-power is not that strong.

  4. You picked a big one to read! Although it sounds like you've read it enough times that you can move along quickly!

  5. Don't let those eyes droop
    head out on the stoop
    get some fresh air
before heading back to that chair
    pick up your book
    take another look
    read, read, read

  6. Kathleen–Thank you, I love it too!

Lisa–GWTW is pretty big, but I've read it too many times to count and got a lot accomplished.

imbookingit–I enjoyed my first readathon but at that point was enjoying my sleep 🙂

    Serena–Nice Cheer!
