Last week via an email I became aware of an awesome new program for book lovers, Shelf Pleasure
. I could rattle on about what a neat concept this idea is but I typically become incoherent so instead, below is the information provided to me.
Shelf Pleasure Radio is a weekly show for women who love to read. The show presents unique show segments (high-profile author interviews, the latest publishing news & trends, fun reading features etc.) that will engage women bibliophiles. Kristen (book editor/Shelf Pleasure co founder) and Liz (book publicist with Liz D Publicity & Promotions/Book’d in Burbank lit event organizer/veteran book club leader) are deeply involved in the book community. Their collective experiences, expertise, and industry contacts create a show that’s not just informative, but also a bookish good time.
More on your hosts:
Kristen Weber works as a freelance book editor in Los Angeles after more than a decade working as an editor at various book publishers in New York. From Judy Blume favorites Just as Long as We’re Together
and Starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself
to every Nancy Drew mystery she could find, Kristen always had her nose in a book. She’ll try any author once but loves mysteries and thrillers most of all. You can learn more about Kristen on her personal website
Liz Donatelli is a book publicist with Liz D Publicity & Promotions, the leader of The Guilty Ladies Book Club, and the director of Shirley You Jest! Book Awards and Book’d in Burbank literary event. She’s a fervent Janeite with a penchant for gothic suspense, erotic romance, and sci-fi fantasy. A native New Yorker, Liz now lives in Los Angeles with her husband. Learn more about Liz on her website
