Interview: Priscilla and her Books

Posted June 2, 2014 by Whitney in interview / 4 Comments

I am so excited to host Priscilla from Priscilla and her Books today, a wonderful “new to me” blog.

Describe yourself in 5 words
Bookworm. Ailurophile. Paranoid. Cloddish. Dork.
Now describe your blog in 5 words
Playful. Simple. Amateur. Bookish. Vintage.

What were your favorite book(s) growing up and what are they now?
Matilda by Roald Dahl! Sadly, I lost my copy… My current favourite books are Atonement by Ian McEwan, 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, Small Island by Andrea Levy, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E.Lockart, just to name a few.
Do you have any unusual bookish habits?
I usually have a pen and Post-it notes with me. I have a habit of writing down my favourite passages and quotes.
What was the last book you read and would you recommend it?
Unfaithfully Yours: Confessions of a Cheating Bitch by Chrystal Rose. It’s a really witty book, so yes, I recommend it!
Is there an author who is an “instant buy”
Haruki Murakami. He never disappoints.
One book blog you would recommend
Ah, this is a no-brainer. I recommend A Little Blog of Books and Other Stuff. I’ve been following it since its inception.
Any advice for newbie bloggers
Be patient, stay true to yourself and have bucket loads of fun!
Quick Fire:
Dog-ear or bookmark
Well, I have over 60 bookmarks… so I might as well use them. Haha, so bookmark!
ebook or paperback
Hands down, paperback. My eyes get tired easily when I’m reading ebooks.

I loved Matilda growing up too and enjoyed Atonement when I read it a few years ago — such a neat premise.  Thank you Priscilla!
