First Year of Blogging and 2010 In Review

Posted January 1, 2011 by Whitney in year in review / 7 Comments

Happy new year everyone!  I started this blog one year ago from today to record my thoughts on the books I read, not expecting anyone to read my ramblings.  To my surprise I closed the old year with 180 followers (I never knew I was so interesting and popular).  Anyway, the book blogging community is so welcoming and friendly, and because of this discovered some great books and authors who I may not have read or heard of otherwise.  I also discovered the fun of read-a-tons and read-alongs.  They are a great way to interact with other bookish persons and also gave me a push to read outside my comfort zone.  All in all a very productive year.

And now an end of the year survey brought to you by Jamie at The Perpetual Page-Turner

  1. Congratulations on the 180 followers and some excellent blog posts! I loved The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo as well. Lisbeth is a wonderfully special heroine 🙂

  2. Congratulations on your blogoversary & a productive reading year! I bought Rebecca for my mom for Xmas & she will (thankfully) pass it on to me when she's finished. It's her favourite book. I also discovered the Millennium series (just #1 so far) in 2010 & can't wait to continue it. Happy New Year 🙂

  3. Rebecca and Cranford are both sublime. I'm reading (and seriously not loving) Outlander right now and so far I'm not a fan. I am awful about not giving up on books though and will proobably read it all the way through expecting it to get better at any minute.
