Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon October 2017

Posted October 21, 2017 by Whitney in read-a-thon / 2 Comments

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is upon us and I am ready to get started. I’m currently recovering from a sinus infection and have the rare occasion of having the house to myself, the perfect excuse to kick back in my sweats and read all day!

Opening Meme

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

Wisconsin

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

End of Watch by Stephen King

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

yogurt, home-made granola and grapes + lots of peppermint mocha coffee!

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I’ve been 29 since 2014. I adopted two cats when I was 22 and they are like my children. I have read Harry Potter every year since I was eleven. When I was 2 my go-to outfit was my Snow White costume.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

I discovered audiobooks last year and they became my best friend during readathons, I plan on utilizing that today too. As for something I would do differently, I need to remind myself that going to sleep at 11 does not equal a failed 24 hour readathon — the point is to have fun!

  1. Hi! I’m participating in the Goodreads cheerleading challenge this hour, so I’m here to cheer you on!

I love that you’re reading R.L. Stine! I, myself, grabbed Alvin Schwartz’s Scary Stories for the RAT, which I plan to delve into soon.

Hope you’re enjoying yourself. Sounds like you’re doing great!

Here’s a little cheer to keep you motivated:

    Read, read read!!
    Just push on through it!
    You’re nearly halfway there.
I know you can do it!
